Spinach and Cucumber Smoothie

A vitamin drink based on kefir with spinach and fresh cucumber is a great option for a fasting day! The green smoothie turns out to be unusual both in appearance and in taste – cilantro and mint give it a special piquancy, which ennobles the rather bland taste and aroma of the basic ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Kefir – 250 ml
  • Fresh spinach – 60 g
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc. (100 g)
  • Fresh cilantro – 5-7 branches
  • Fresh mint – 1 sprig
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch

Directions

  1. Rinse and dry young spinach leaves. Remove tough stems.
  2. Peel the fresh cucumber and cut it into cubes. Rinse mint and cilantro leaves, dry, chop.
  3. Transfer the spinach, herbs, and cucumber to the bowl of a blender. Pour in cold kefir. Add salt and black pepper.
  4. Whisk the ingredients until smooth. Pour smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
