Instructions

  1. Put the flour in a bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the yeast with a little sugar. Warm the milk slightly on the stove. Now put a little of it in the bowl and stir with the mixer. Really just a little, so the dough is dry and crumbly. Let the whole thing rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Now melt the butter in the milk on the stove. Whisk the egg in a glass. Now add the sugar, milk butter, the egg and a pinch of salt to the bowl with the flour and knead everything for a few minutes using the paddle.
  3. Then knead the dough again with your hands on the worktop. Now the dough has to rise for 45 minutes in a warm place, then knead again and put in a loaf pan. Then let the dough rise again for 10 minutes and bake at 180 ° C (top / bottom heat) for about 30 - 45 minutes, ideally doing the stick test.
  4. This is how the mare always works for me. If I leave out the first walking time, i.e. this pre-dough, it has already happened to me that the yeast has not risen.
  5. The mares taste best simply coated with butter, children like it with chocolate cream. Tip: If you want, you can also add 100 g raisins.
