Tortilla with Cheese

A flat cake with cheese is very often called lazy khachapuri by many housewives. The taste of the flatbread is very reminiscent of this Caucasian dish. It is convenient to take such cakes with you on the road, to nature, they do not stale.

Ingredients

  • Butter – 120 Grams
  • Baking powder – 3 Grams
  • Salt – 1 Teaspoon
  • Chicken eggs – 2 Pieces
  • Wheat flour – 300 grams
  • Sugar – 1 Teaspoon
  • Curd – 250 Grams
  • Provencal Herbs – 1 Teaspoon
  • Garlic – 1 Clove
  • Sour cream – 1
  • Mozzarella – 200 Grams
  • White sesame – 1

Directions

  1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator and place in a bowl. Let it sit at room temperature to soften the butter. Add cottage cheese, salt, sugar to it, beat in an egg and mix thoroughly.
  2. Sift flour twice with baking powder and add portions to the curd mass. Knead a soft dough, roll it into a ball, cover with a towel or wrap in cling film. Let the dough rest for ten minutes.
  3. Now prepare the filling. To do this, grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater, put the cheese in a bowl. Add sour cream, a pinch of salt, Provencal herbs and garlic passed through a press to it.
  4. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll one out, forming an even circle. Place the filling on the dough so that a few centimeters remain to the rim.
  5. Roll out the second piece of dough and cover the filling with it. Tie the edges together carefully so that the tortilla does not come apart during the baking process. Pin the top in several places with a fork.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment and transfer the cake to it. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Preheat the oven to one hundred and ninety degrees and bake the cake in it for thirty minutes
