Chicken and Cheese Tortillas

How to cook something delicious from ordinary products and surprise your loved ones. We take two types of flour, add cheese, meat – and the husband is delighted! Chicken and Cheese Tortilla – Mexican snack or stuffed tortilla for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • Boiled chicken (or other) – 200-300 g
  • Hard cheese – 200 g
  • Corn flour – 150 g
  • Wheat flour – 80 g
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Water (warm) – 100-120 ml
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. We mix corn and wheat flour.
    Dissolve salt in warm water and add vegetable oil.
  2. Gradually pouring water and butter into flour, knead the dough. The dough will not be elastic, this is a feature of corn flour.
  3. While the dough is resting for about 20 minutes, prepare the filling.
  4. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater.
  5. We disassemble the meat (I have boiled chicken legs) into medium pieces (fibers).
  6. We roll out thin cakes from the dough, for convenience it is better to do this on film, it will be easier to transfer the cakes to the pan. And for beauty 🙂 and so that they are the same, we cut out along the contour of the plate.
  7. Fry the cakes in a dry frying pan until light golden brown.
  8. When you turn the cake over to the other side, you can lay out the filling – cheese and meat.
  9. Cover with the other half of the tortilla and grease the tortilla with chicken and cheese. Heating on the stove is moderate. We are waiting for the cheese to melt.
  10. First of all, you will feel the delicious aroma! Then you will see how delicious melted cheese stretches! And when you taste a crispy tortilla with a juicy filling, you will understand that there is happiness. It remains only to cook.
