Ingredients

  • 500 g beans, reen, broad (Turkish)
  • 4 large potato (s)
  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 2 large beefsteak tomato (s) or tomato puree
  • 3 garlic clove (s), chopped, possibly more
  • 4 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3 teaspoons black cumin
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • olive oil
  • 300 g minced meat, possibly
  • Salt or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Fry the onions with the garlic in oil (if desired, together with the minced meat). Add the skinned tomatoes or the tomato puree and the black cumin. If you don`t like meat, you can leave it out.
  2. Carefully remove the bean threads with the potato peeler (only for larger beans) and cut into pieces about 3 cm long. Pour into the pan and simmer covered for approx. 5 minutes. In the meantime, cut the potatoes into small cubes and add them as well.
  3. Simmer covered until all the ingredients are cooked through (approx. 20 minutes). Season to taste with salt, paprika (hot) and a pinch of sugar. Bread can be served with it - but we think it is not necessary.
