Vegetable Bread “Brightness”

Bright Australian vegetable bread is suitable for a lean table. Fragrant and delicious. Making vegetable bread takes a long time. Homemade bread is much faster to eat.

Ingredients

  • Spinach leaves (can be frozen) – 70-80 g
  • Beets – 1 pc. (200-250 g)
  • Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
  • Parsley greens – 20 g
  • Potatoes – 1 pc. (150 g)
  • Olive oil – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – 2 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast – 4 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – 4 teaspoon
  • Flour – 1 kg
  • Sesame – 2 tbsp
  • Mold oil
  • Baking dish

Directions

  1. We clean the potato. Pour 350 g of water into a saucepan. Cut the potatoes so that they are covered with water in the pan. Cook potatoes without salt for 15-20 minutes. When ready, do not drain the water! Chop the spinach and parsley. If the spinach is frozen, of course, you don’t need to cut it, just defrost it.
  2. Pour the herbs into a blender. Add 3 tbsp water. Grind spinach and parsley into a liquid gruel. This is what the first part of the test base will look like. We clean the beets, cut them into smaller pieces.
  3. Pour 3 tablespoon into the blender container. l. water and fall asleep the chopped beets. We puree. This is the second part of the test base.
  4. We also bring the boiled potatoes together with water to a liquid puree using a blender. This is the third part of the basic test. In a plate, dilute 1 tablespoon with water. a spoonful of tomato paste to make 130-140 g of thick tomato juice.
  5. Add to each plate: 0.5 teaspoon. salt, 1 teaspoon. sugar, 1 teaspoon. dry yeast, 1 tbsp olive oil. We take 3 tablespoon from a plate with potato composition. l. and add colored mixtures to each plate – the dough will be softer and more tender, and the bread will stay fresh longer.
  6. We knead the dough. I won’t say how much flour it will take, but make sure that the dough is not very tight. You should have 4 pieces of future bread. Leave the dough in a warm place for 1 hour. It should grow in size. From the resulting multi-colored dough, you need to roll out four bundles.
  7. Colored strands can be laid out on oiled baking paper (or directly into a greased baking dish). Weave the bundles as you please.
  8. Transfer the bread to the mold. You can cover the top with the same paper or you can not cover it. It all depends on your oven. The bread pan should not be wide, compact so that the bread does not spread, but rises up.
  9. Place the bread in a preheated oven and bake for 1 hour. My bread in the oven was baked according to the following scheme: 20 minutes at 170 degrees, the next 20 minutes at 190 degrees, and another 20 minutes at 170 degrees. Alternatively, you can grease it with butter and sprinkle it with sesame seeds 5 minutes before the bread is ready. Or you don’t have to. The bread will be just as tasty!
