Waffle Cake with Meat and Mushrooms

Waffle cakes are not only suitable for making desserts, they are a wonderful base for snack cakes and pies with various savory fillings. The pie with minced meat and mushrooms, the recipe for which I want to offer you today, is one of my favorites. It turns out this cake is delicious, juicy and everyone likes it!

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 300 g
  • Minced chicken – 200 g
  • Champignons – 300 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Wafer cakes – 7 pcs. (65 g)
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons
  • Refined sunflower oil – 70 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Put the minced pork and chicken in a frying pan preheated with sunflower oil.
  2. Fry the minced meat mixture over high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper the minced meat. Transfer the sautéed minced meat from the skillet to a bowl.
  3. Peel the champignons, cut them into slices.
  4. Peel and dice the onions.
  5. In sunflower oil, fry the onion with mushrooms for 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked to the desired degree, not forgetting to also salt.
  6. Beat two egg whites with a pinch of salt in a strong foam, add mayonnaise, and beat again.
  7. We collect the cake. Put a waffle crust on the bottom of the mold, brush it with a spoonful of protein-mayonnaise foam.
  8. Divide the minced meat by eye into 3 parts. Place a third of the minced meat on the greased waffle crust.
  9. Cover it with a second waffle crust, brush with protein-mayonnaise foam, and add a third of the mushrooms fried with onions.
  10. So, alternating cakes with either meat or mushroom filling, collect the whole pie. You will need 7 wafer cakes in total. Grease the top cake with protein-mayonnaise foam.
  11. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
  12. Place the grated cheese on top of the waffle cake.
  13. Bake the waffle pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
  14. Decorate the finished cake as desired. It can be greens, slices of tomatoes, pieces of fried mushrooms.
  15. Waffle tart with meat and mushrooms can be served. Bon Appetit!
