Instructions

  1. First make the flavored milk. If you don`t want to prepare the milk mixture yourself, you can also use the appropriate milk from the refrigerated shelf. Of course, you don`t need to sweeten this anymore, but I don`t find the taste so intense.
  2. For the vanilla milk, boil 500 ml milk with half a vanilla pod (scrape out the pulp beforehand and add it to the milk) and dissolve sugar in it to taste. After cooking, remove the vanilla pod and allow the vanilla milk to cool to room temperature before further processing.
  3. You can make the strawberry milk yourself with milk and pureed, sweetened strawberries. Please only pay attention to the proportions! In the end, the 500 ml must not be exceeded! So, only fill up with milk at room temperature (preferably using a measuring cup) until 500 ml are reached.
  4. It works the same way with bananas (please only use them when they are very ripe). For banana waffles, I have also used banana nectar instead of homemade or purchased banana milk. That worked very well, although there is no milk in it!
  5. For chocolate milk you simply cook a delicious cocoa, preferably with real cocoa and sugar. You can also spice it up with nut nougat cream.
  6. For the waffle batter, stir the room-temperature butter with the eggs, a pinch of salt, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy (approx. 4 - 5 min.). Add a good dash of vinegar and continue to stir, then sift the flour together with the baking powder over the sugar-vinegar eggs and stir until a sticky dough is formed. Only then, sip by sip, add the respective aromatic milk, stirring constantly, until the dough is smooth.
  7. Let the dough soak in the refrigerator for 15 minutes and in the meantime prepare the waffle iron and preheat the oven to 50 ° C for temporary storage. Then fry one waffle after the other and store on a plate in the preheated oven until ready to eat.
  8. Traditionally, these flavorful waffles taste best straight from the waffle iron with hot cherries and lots of whipped cream! But they also stay cold for a few days, as long as they are not destroyed by local sweet tooth In short: They are simply a poem!
