- 500 g kidney (s) (pork)
- some oil
- 3 onion (s)
- salt and pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 clove (s)
- 0.25 liter ¼ water, hot
- some flour
- some cold water
- vinegar

- Free the kidneys from the inner workings (or have the butcher do it, because then the preparation time is reduced). Then chop and wash.
- Peel and roughly chop the onions and fry them together with the kidneys in a little hot oil. Season with salt and fill up with the hot water. Now add the bay leaf and the cloves and let simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Then mix a little flour with a little cold water and thicken the sauce with it. Finally, season to taste with salt, pepper and vinegar as required.
- Mashed potatoes and pickled beetroot are best served as a side dish.
