  • 3 apples
  • 200 g wholemeal spelled flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 200 ml soy drink, vanilla or natural
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 200 ml mineral water
  • vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Core the apples and cut into small pieces. It is important that the pieces are really small, otherwise the cakes cannot bake well.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder, add the soy milk and water and stir to form a smooth dough. Add the cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract and the apple pieces and mix everything together.
  3. Heat a teflon-coated pan. Depending on how well the pan is coated, no oil has to be used - otherwise heat a little oil.
  4. Put a full tablespoon of batter for each cake in the pan over medium heat and then briefly put the lid on. You open something up. Turn once and finish baking.
  5. The dough or the cakes are only as sweet as the apples are. If you like it sweeter, you can of course add sugar or use sweet spreads.
  6. Makes about 10 cakes.
