  • 1 kg apples, cleaned
  • 350 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • Grease for the tin

Instructions

  1. First a batter is made from all the ingredients, then the apples are added last. I would gradually fold in the chopped apple pieces (approx. 1 cm wide, halved again) with a spoon, all at once proves to be a bit difficult.
  2. Grease a baking sheet, spread the dough on it and bake in the oven at 200 - 220 ° C for about 30 minutes. The cake is ready when it is nice and brown on top. If you`re in a bit of a hurry, you can open the oven right away as the cake won`t collapse.
  3. I don`t like to eat warm apple pie - I like it best when it stands for a day and really pulls through - then it is wonderfully juicy!
