Ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 0.5 ½ cup sugar
- 5 egg (s)
- 13 tablespoon oil (e.g. sunflower oil or germ oil)
- 2 teaspoon, heaped baking powder
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon, heaped cinnamon
- 6 apples
- some sugar to sprinkle on
- some cinnamon to sprinkle on

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Wash, peel and cut the apples into very small pieces.
- Put the eggs in a bowl and beat them with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy (until the egg turns light yellow).
- Sift the flour and add the teaspoon of cinnamon and baking powder to the egg mixture. Use a spatula to stir into the egg mixture. Also add the oil to the mixture and stir. Now fold the chopped apples into the batter with the spatula.
- Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread evenly. Mix the cinnamon and sugar and distribute evenly on the dough so that not much dough can be seen.
- Now bake the cake in the oven for about 20 minutes until it is light brown (use a toothpick to test whether the cake is ready).
- Tip: Check the cake every now and then after about 10 minutes to prevent it from burning.
- After the cake has been baked, place the tray on a wooden board. Put about 2 tablespoons of margarine in a cup or bowl and let it melt (e.g. in the microwave). Now distribute the margarine evenly over the entire cake and then let it cool down.
