Baked Fish in Greek

The fish is baked in the oven with cheese sauce with tomatoes. Delicate and juicy fish fillet under a golden cheese crust is very tasty. Such a fish dish can be served on a festive table.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Fish (carcasses or fillets) – 500 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Tomatoes – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Sour cream – 50 g
  • Mayonnaise – 50 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. It is advisable to choose fish with a minimum amount of bones. You can use ready-made fish fillets. Turn on the oven, let it heat up to 180 degrees.
  2. Cut the tomato into cubes.
  3. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  4. In a bowl, combine tomatoes and cheese. Add sour cream and mayonnaise. Squeeze the garlic there through a press.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Cut the fish carcasses into fillets (the skin can be left on).
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Grease a heat-resistant form with vegetable oil.
  9. Place the fish fillets in the dish.
  10. Spread the cheese sauce over the fish. Bake the fish with tomatoes and cheese in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
