Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 375 ml milk
  • 180 g cheddar cheese, rated
  • 2 tablespoon parmesan
  • Salt and cayenne pepper
  • mustard
  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 80 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta until al dente according to the instructions on the packet. Meanwhile melt 2/3 of the butter in a pan. Stir in the flour, gradually adding the milk while stirring. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add the cheese and stir until melted. Season to taste with salt, mustard and cayenne pepper.
  2. Mix the pasta with the sauce and put everything in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs, cover with flakes of butter and bake the casserole in the oven at medium temperature for 30 to 40 minutes.
