Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon honey, more liquid
  • 1 teaspoon Worcester sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 lemon (s) slices, untreated
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ mustard, medium hot
  • 50 ml whiskey
  • some ginger powder
  • some salt and pepper
  • Chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the garlic cloves. Mix all ingredients together and season to taste in between, seasoning if necessary.
  2. Simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Possibly add a little whiskey after simmering. If necessary, the lemon slices can then be removed again.
  3. It is best to let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before serving. Keeps covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  4. Goes wonderfully with grilled food in summer, such as B. spare ribs and steaks, or with meat fondue in winter.
