Ingredients
- 1 packet puff pastry (frozen, 6 slices)
- 400 g chicken fillet (s) or pork schnitzel
- 200 g cheese (e.. Emmentaler), rated
- 2 tablespoons spices for gyros

- Cut the meat into fine strips and let it steep in the refrigerator overnight with the gyros spice. The next day, stir-fry the meat in a heated pan for about 5 minutes. Take out of the pan and let cool down. Then mix in approx. 150 g of the grated cheese. Thaw the puff pastry slices and roll them out a little. Then distribute the filling evenly over the slices. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together with a fork. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C top / bottom heat (convection: 175 ° C) for approx. 20 minutes (until the dough is golden brown). Tastes best hot. Tip: If you like, you can add a finely diced and steamed onion to the filling.
