Ingredients

  • 280 g butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 380 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon rum
  • 250 g berry mix (frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)

For decoration:

  • Cake icing, chocolate
  • Brittle (hazelnut brittle)

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter with the sifted sugar, vanilla sugar and rum until frothy. Stir in egg yolks one by one and continue to beat until frothy.
  2. Mix the flour and baking powder, sieve and add to the yolk mass alternately with the milk.
  3. Turn the berry mix in flour (this will make it mix better with the dough) and stir into the dough mixture. Beat the egg whites into snow and fold into the dough.
  4. Grease and flour the Gugelhupf pan, fill in the dough and bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 60 minutes.
  5. Let the Gugelhupf cool, turn it out and decorate with a little chocolate glaze and hazelnut brittle.
