Ingredients

  • 250 g potato (s)
  • 2 apples
  • 50 g bacon, smoked, mixed, diced
  • 250 g sauerkraut
  • 1 medium onion (s), diced
  • 8 allspice grains
  • 8 juniper berries
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns, colored
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 750 ml beef broth

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the potatoes. Place the slices in water until you are ready to use them again so that they do not turn brown. Remove the core from the apples, peel the apples, cut into slices and place in lemon water.
  2. Fry the onions and diced bacon. Mash the spices and put them in a spice bag.
  3. Squeeze out the sauerkraut and place in layers in a saucepan with onions, bacon, apples and potatoes. The top layer must be sauerkraut. Slide the spice sachet in between and pour the beef broth on top. Cover and simmer for about 60 minutes.
  4. Arrange and serve in deep plates.
