Butter Buns with Poppy Seeds

For tea, I will offer a gorgeous yeast pastry. I love poppy seed buns.

Servings: 8

Cook: 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 500 g
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Dry yeast – 1 sachet (11 g)
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Sugar – 3-5 tbsp
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Raisins (optional) – 50 g

For filling:

  • Poppy – 100 g
  • Sugar – 4-6 tbsp
  • Butter – 2 tbsp

For lubrication:

  • Egg – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Make a brew. To do this, heat the milk, add a pack of dry yeast, 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of sugar, 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of flour. Mix. Leave in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  2. Melt the butter over low heat.
    Sift flour. Make a hole in flour, drive in a chicken egg.
  3. Add dough, sugar, butter, vanilla sugar and salt to a bowl of flour and egg. Mix well with a spoon.
  4. Knead the dough with your hands, add the raisins. Knead the dough again.
  5. Cover the dough with a clean towel. Leave the dough in a warm place for 60 minutes.
  6. Make the filling. Boil the kettle. Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds. Leave on for 10 minutes. Drain the water. Grind poppy seeds with a blender, add sugar. Mix well. The filling is ready.
  7. The dough came up. Turn on the oven. Divide the dough into 2 pieces. Roll out the dough into a cake layer (0.5 cm). Grease with butter.
  8. Spread out half of the filling in a thin layer.
  9. Collapse the roll.
  10. Cut into pieces 2-2.5 cm wide. Do the same with the second half of the dough and poppy seeds.
  11. Grease a baking sheet with oil. Lay out the buns. Leave on for 15 minutes. in a warm place. Beat the chicken egg, grease the buns.
  12. Place the baking sheet in the oven on the middle shelf. Bake buns at 200 degrees until golden brown (about 20 minutes).
