Ingredients
- 500 g potato noodles, homemade or from the fresh food counter
- 2 apples, sour variety, approx. 400-500 g
- 200 ml water
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 0.5 ½ lemon (s), juice from it
- 1 teaspoon cream cheese
- milk, or cream
- 50 g butter
- 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Pinch cinnamon

- Peel, quarter, core and cut the apples into pieces. In a saucepan, heat the water with the sugar and lemon juice, then add the apple pieces and simmer gently. The apple pieces should not fall apart. After a few minutes, remove the apple pieces, let the liquid cool down a bit and then stir in the cream cheese. Season to taste with a sip of cream or milk, if you like. The liquid should keep a slightly sour note, however, as the poppy seed sauce is quite sweet. Reduce the apple liquid a little and then add the apples again.
- In the meantime, roast the potato noodles in a pan with a little butter and let them warm up.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in the poppy seeds and finally sift in the powdered sugar.
- Arrange the potato noodles on a plate with the apple pieces and the poppy seed sauce and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon if you like.
