Canapes with Red Fish “Roses”

A bright and tasty appetizer for a festive table – small canapes with red fish, cream cheese, and green lettuce. Appetite appears as soon as you see these “roses”.

Ingredients

  • Red, salted, or smoked fish (salmon, salmon, trout, pink salmon, chum salmon) – 100 g
  • White bread – 100 g
  • Cream cheese – 50 g
  • Lettuce leaves – 5-6 pcs.

Directions

  1. Cut the bread into thin slices of any shape. It is better to cut off the crusts.
  2. Dry the bread in a non-stick skillet on both sides. You do not need to add oil to the pan.
  3. Spread cream cheese on each piece of toasted bread, in a thick layer over the entire surface.
  4. Slice the fish thinly and roll each thin piece to make it look like a rosebud.
  5. Stagger the croutons with cheese on a plate. Place the red fish rolls vertically on top of the cheese.
  6. Cut off the wavy edge of the lettuce leaves and roll it up. Secure the edge with cream cheese. Children can be involved in this process.
  7. Arrange the rolled lettuce in a checkerboard pattern between the fish canapes. Serve canapes with red fish “Roses” as an appetizer to New Year’s or any other festive table.
