Ceviche – Latin American Sushi

Ceviche is a traditional South American dish. It is made from fish and seafood and has complicated preparation steps.

Ingredients

  • White fish – 800 g.
  • Lime – 2 pcs.
  • Orange – 2 pcs.
  • Red hot chili peppers – 2 pcs.
  • Red onion – 2 pcs.
  • Cilantro – 2 branches.
  • salt

Directions

  1. Cut the fish into small cubes.
  2. Squeeze out the juice of both lime and orange.
  3. The acidity in citrus juice makes raw fish absolutely usable. But only very fresh fish!
  4. Place the fish chunks in a bowl and cover with most of the juice.
  5. Leave to sit for about 3 hours.
  6. Chop the peppers finely.
  7. Cut the onion into rings.
  8. Chop the cilantro.
  9. Pour all ingredients with citrus juice, salt and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
