Chebureks with Meat

Chebureki is a traditional dish of many nations, which is fried crescent-shaped cakes with meat filling. Pork cheeks are so juicy and tasty that for my husband they have become the best beer snack.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Wheat flour – 250 grams
  • Boiled water – 75 grams
  • Vodka – 20 grams
  • Vegetable oil – 50 grams
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

For minced meat:

  • Pork – 300 grams
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Boiled water – 50 grams

For frying pasties:

  • Vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Sift the wheat flour through a sieve.
  2. Pour water and vodka into the flour.
  3. Add vegetable oil.
  4. Knead the dough.
  5. Wrap the dough with cling film and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  6. Wash the meat and cut it into pieces.
  7. Peel and wash the onion and garlic.
  8. Twist the meat, onion, and garlic in a meat grinder.
  9. Season with salt, pepper, add boiled water, and stir.
  10. Free the dough from the film and cut it into four pieces.
  11. Take one piece of dough and knead it with your hands.
  12. Place it on a board and roll it out with a rolling pin.
  13. The dough should be about 2 millimeters thick.
  14. Put the minced meat on one half of the dough.
  15. Cover with the second half of the dough.
  16. Cut the unnecessary dough in a circle with a knife, giving the cheburek a crescent shape.
  17. Press down on the edges of the dough with your hands to make sure that the edges stick together.
  18. Use a fork to press down on the dough in a circle to create a serrated edge.
  19. Put the cheburek in a preheated pan with vegetable oil.
  20. Cook on each side for 5 minutes.
  21. The cheburek will turn out to be thin, it should crunch on the teeth, and the filling will be juicy.
