“Chicken Kiev” (Simple Version)

This is perhaps one of the most famous dishes of Ukrainian cuisine, along with borscht and dumplings. Making it at home is not at all as difficult as it seems. Want to try? Memorize the recipe.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast – 4 Pieces (with wing)
  • Butter – 4 Teaspoons
  • Egg – 1 Piece
  • Flour – 20 Grams
  • Breadcrumbs – 100 Grams
  • Salt – To taste
  • Vegetable oil – To taste (for frying)

Directions

  1. Here is a piece of chicken we need for 1 serving.
  2. Carefully remove the skin, it will not be needed.
  3. Check the breast for bones or cartilage. Remove the meat from the wing.
  4. Gently beat the chicken under a layer of cling film.
  5. Salt to taste, put a piece of butter in the center.
  6. Roll up to make this tight roll.
  7. Roll each cutlet in flour, then in a beaten egg.
  8. And in bread crumbs.
  9. While heating the oil for frying, place the patties in the freezer.
  10. When the oil has warmed up well, gently place the cutlets in the pan.
  11. And fry over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
  12. Then remove from the pan, put in a heat-resistant dish and send to the oven. At a temperature of 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes, the cutlets will completely reach readiness.
