Chicken with peanuts is somewhat unusual for a Slavic person, but a very tasty dish of Chinese traditional cuisine. Properly prepared, it is simply doomed to success. It is very easy to prepare!
These are our ingredients. As you can see, the ingredients are pretty simple and affordable – nothing exotic.
My sweet pepper, clean it from seeds and membranes, cut into squares.
Cut the onion into large strips.
Finely chop the green onion. We leave a small amount of green onions to decorate the finished dish, and use the rest in cooking.
We cut the chicken, cut it into medium-sized loin pieces. Pieces with small cartilage and bones are fine too. Then it will be possible to cook soup from the remaining bones, but to prepare this dish we only need chicken pulp.
Pour half a glass of oil into the wok, put on a high heat. When the butter starts to crackle, we throw our peanuts into the wok. Fry for about 1-2 minutes, then carefully remove the peanuts from the wok and put them somewhere on a plate.
Put the chicken flesh into the remaining butter in the wok. Fry it over high heat until golden brown.
As soon as the chicken is browned, add chopped bell peppers and whole hot peppers to the pan. We continue to fry for another 10 minutes.
Then add chopped onion and garlic cloves to the wok (if large, cut in half, if small, you can put it whole).
After 10 minutes, remove the garlic cloves from the wok and discard (yes, you will have to catch them all over the wok), and instead put chopped green onions and a little ground ginger into the wok (you can also finely grated fresh). Fry for another 10-15 minutes until all ingredients are soft.
In the meantime, let’s prepare the sauce. To do this, combine the soy sauce, flour, brown sugar and about half a cup of warm water. Mix everything well, filter through a sieve.
After the above time for frying chicken with vegetables, add sauce and peanuts to the wok. We mix.
While stirring, cook for another 5-10 minutes until the desired thickness of the sauce.
