Chocolate Cake Black Forest

Recipe for making a chocolate cake with coffee, applesauce and chocolate icing.

Ingredients
- Buttermilk – 1 Glass
- Eggs – 2 Pieces
- Vanilla extract – 1 Teaspoon
- Sugar – 2 Glasses
- Soda – 2 Teaspoons
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 Teaspoon
- For icing: semi-sweet chocolate – 270 Grams
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a cake tin with butter and lightly dust with flour. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat eggs and applesauce together, then add the iced coffee, vanilla and cream.
- Gradually add the egg mixture to the flour mixture, stir until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Pour the chocolate cake batter into the prepared mold. Bake the cake for 45-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the finished cake to cool in the mold, then remove from the mold and allow to cool completely.
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate icing. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. In a saucepan, bring the cream to a low boil and immediately pour into the chocolate. Stir with a whisk until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Let the icing cool slightly and pour over the cake. Chill cake before serving.
