- 300 grams flour
- 40 g cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 230 grams sugar
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 pinch (s) salt
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 250 ml water, warm
- 80 ml oil, neutral
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- some powdered sugar to sprinkle on

- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. First mix all dry ingredients well with a whisk. Wait until the oven has reached 180 ° C.
- When the time comes, mix the oil, water and vinegar together and mix quickly with the dry ingredients until a smooth batter is formed. Do not stir too long or vigorously, otherwise the baking powder will outgas and have less effect.
- Immediately pour the dough into a greased and floured springform pan and put in the oven. Turn back to 150 ° C and bake for approx. 40 minutes (test with chopsticks!). Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Tip: If you want, you can coat the cake with jam while it is still warm, spread the grated nuts on it and cover the whole with a delicious chocolate icing.
- The vinegar is needed so that the baking powder works better and all the ingredients combine a little better. You can`t taste the vinegar afterwards either. Lemon juice should also work instead.
