Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry, fresh, 275 g
  • 1 bar dark chocolate
  • 1 egg yolk, whisked
  • 30 g pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 210 ° C top / bottom heat.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it so that it is about three times as wide as the chocolate. Place the board in the middle of the puff pastry.
  3. Cut the puff pastry diagonally into 3 cm wide strips to the right and left of the chocolate.
  4. Cut into the dough above and below the chocolate as an extension of the chocolate. Cut off the top and bottom side strips of dough and set aside.
  5. Fold the strips of dough above and below the chocolate bar over the chocolate and place the side strips on top of each other in a cable pattern.
  6. Brush with the egg yolk and sprinkle with the chopped nuts.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
