Corn Sauté

Saute is a recipe with many variations and combinations of ingredients. You will need corn, peppers, onions, cheese, bacon, and honey to make corn sauté.

Ingredients

  • Bulgarian pepper, green (peeled and finely chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Onions (peeled and finely chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 3 tbsp
  • Corn – 4 cups
  • Hot water – 1/4 cup
  • Pimento pepper, canned (seeded and finely chopped) – 60 g
  • Honey – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 1/8 teaspoon.
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded) – 1/2 cup
  • Bacon (fried and crumbled) – 4 strips

Directions

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat, add green peppers and onions to the skillet. Pour corn, black pepper, pimento, salt, pepper into the pan, add water and honey.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat and sauté, uncovered, for about 8-10 minutes.

Sprinkle the cooked sauté with cheese and bacon.
