Ingredients

  • 9 egg (s), including the yolk
  • 250 ml milk
  • 500 ml cream
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 cl Grand Marnier
  • 0.5 ½ orange (s), untreated, zest it
  • 25 g cane suar

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks with sugar until smooth. Warm the milk and cream together with the orange peel zest and let it steep, strain through a fine sieve. Add to the egg mixture and stir in the Grand Manner. Skim off the resulting foam, fill into molds and cook in the oven at 120-140 ° C for 2.5-3 hours, approx.
  2. Refrigerate. Sprinkle the cane sugar over the cream before serving. Melt this slowly with a flame (gas burner).
  3. A little patience is necessary, not to go too close to the sugar with the flame. Otherwise it can burn.
