Ingredients

  • 500 g leek, weihed uncleaned
  • 150 g walnuts
  • 5 egg (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ spice mixture, Persian (Adwie), alternatively turmeric or the mildest curry that can be found
  • oil

Instructions

  1. An easy-to-prepare Iranian main course that can also be used as a starter!
  2. Clean the leek (there are still 300 - 350 g), cut in half lengthways and cut into 1/2 cm thick slices. Do not chop walnuts too finely. Whisk both with the eggs, season with salt, pepper and adwie and fry in a pan in hot oil like a thick pancake, turn once.
  3. You`d swear this dish contains ground beef, but it`s entirely vegetarian!
