Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • Flour for rolling
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 200 g butter, (soft, room temperature)
  • 50 g cane suar, approx.

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients (except sugar) together (flour, butter and quark) until you have a uniform dough.
  2. Sprinkle a little flour on the kitchen table, take about 1/3 of the dough and roll out 3-4 mm thick. Use a round cookie cutter (7-8 cm diameter) or a glass (or similar) to cut out the circles.
  3. Put the sugar in a flat plate. Take dough circles individually, place one side in the sugar and press lightly. Then fold the dough circle with the sugar side inwards (you get a semicircle).
  4. Press one side of each semicircle into the sugar, fold again to form a quarter circle or little ear (sugar inside).
  5. Press one side into the sugar again.
  6. Spread the ears with the sugar side on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Gradually make the remaining pieces of dough.
  7. Bake at 180 ° C until the ears turn golden brown (approx. 20 minutes).
  8. Makes about 2 baking trays.
