Curly Collapsible Bread

Ruddy homemade bread can also be beautiful and original. And you do not have to cut it into slices – the finished bread can be easily disassembled by hand due to the fact that each piece of dough from which the bread is made is “bathed” in butter.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Butter – 60 g
  • Flour – 320 g (2 cups, 250 ml)
  • Dry yeast – 7 g (2 teaspoon with a small slide) or pressed yeast – 15-20 g
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • White sesame – 1 tbsp
  • Dried garlic – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Pour milk into a deep bowl and heat until warm (about 38 ° C). Add sugar, salt and yeast, stir.
  2. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of flour into the milk, stir and leave for 20 minutes for the yeast to start working. Pouring the sifted wheat flour into the dough little by little, knead the yeast dough.
  3. The dough can be kneaded either by hand or with a bread machine or food processor. The dough ball turns out to be elastic, keeps its shape well.
  4. Roll out the dough layer with a rolling pin so that its thickness is 5-7 mm. Using a glass, cut out circles with a diameter of about 7-8 cm from the dough.
  5. In a small, deep bowl, melt the butter in the microwave on low power. Dip each piece of dough in butter. Line a 24 cm detachable form with parchment paper. Place the dough soaked in oil overlapped in a circle.
  6. In the center, there will be a hole for better air circulation when baking bread. Leave the batter in a warm place for 20-25 minutes to proof. Before finishing the proofing, turn on the oven to heat it up to 180 degrees. Separate the yolk (no egg white needed, use for another dish).
  7. Brush the yolk over the dough with a cooking brush. Sprinkle with dried garlic and sesame seeds on top. Bake bread in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees, until golden brown.
  8. Remove the prepared bread from the mold and let it cool down (hot bread is bad for digestion). The bread is very easily disassembled into “petal” slices. Airy, with a light garlic aroma – be sure to try it! Homemade bread is a delicious table decoration!
