Ingredients

  • 2 glasses red cabbage
  • 2 apples
  • 2 onions)
  • 100 g lard
  • 250 ml red wine, drier
  • 2 tablespoon jelly (cranberry)
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar (herb vinegar)
  • 3 small bay leaves
  • Meatsoup
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the lard in a large saucepan. Peel the apples and onions, chop them roughly and put them in the saucepan. Simmer until the onions are translucent. Add the red cabbage. Add red wine, cranberry jelly, vinegar and spices. Let everything simmer together for at least 1.5 hours.
  2. Note: be careful with the meat broth! It is better to season and season with it at the end of the cooking time.
