Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 15 g yeast, fresh
  • 150 ml water, lukewarm
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • rosemary
  • 5 tablespoon tomato (s), finely diced pelati
  • 200 g feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough from flour, crumbled yeast, sugar, salt, 150 ml of lukewarm water and oil (add this only at the end). Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes until it has doubled.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection 160 degrees).
  3. Peel the garlic and chop very finely, also chop the rosemary needles very finely. Mix with the tomatoes. To taste.
  4. Knead the dough again and roll it out into a thin rectangle on a floured work surface. Brush with the tomato mixture and crumble the feta cheese over it. Now roll up the dough from the lengthwise roll and cut into approx. 1.5 cm thick slices. Carefully place the slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  5. Makes about 16 snails.
