Finnish Baked Salmon

Salmon baked with potatoes in an egg-cream sauce. Delicious.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Salmon (salmon) – 600 g
  • Potatoes – 1 kg
  • Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Cream – 200 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley and dill to taste
  • Butter – 50 g

Directions

  1. Cut the salmon in half, remove the ridge and remove the skin. Cut into thin slices (up to 1 cm thick). Salt. Cut 2/3 of the whole potato into thin slices. Cut the onion into thin rings. Beat eggs with cream.
  2. Place in a heat-resistant dish in layers: potatoes, onions, salmon, onions, etc. – but so that the top layer is potatoes.
  3. Pour over the egg-cream mixture. Cut the remaining potatoes into cubes. Melt the butter and grease the potatoes liberally.
  4. Spread it out on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 1 hour. Serve the salmon baked with potatoes in a dish in which the fish was baked, sprinkle with dill and parsley on top.
  5. Cooked salmon baked with potatoes.
