Instructions

  1. Cook the peeled potatoes with the onions in plenty of salted water until cooked. Pour off the cooking water and save about half of it.
  2. Add the milk and a dash of coffee cream to the potatoes and mash the potatoes. Add enough of the cooking water to make a thin paste or a thick soup. The potatoes can stay a bit chunky.
  3. Stir in the parsley and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  4. When serving, add a little diced lean ham and spicy salami (preferably Mecklenburg slag sausage, salami with whole peppercorns).
  5. It`s an old recipe from my family. It is very easy and quick to prepare. The ideal Saturday lunchtime dish.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
