Fish stewed in cream with leeks is very tender and tasty.
Ingredients
Cod fish (or other) – 300 g
Fat cream – 1 glass
Leek (green part) – 1 pc.
Flour – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil – for frying
Directions
Wash the fish and, if necessary, remove the scales. Dry with paper towels, salt, and pepper.
Finely chop the green part of the leek.
Dip the fish in flour and fry in hot vegetable oil for 1-2 minutes on each side, until light golden brown. Remove the fried fish from the pan, cover to keep warm.
Put the leek in a pan, add salt and fry quickly until the color changes. Leeks cook very quickly – you need to be careful not to burn them.
Put the fish on the onion.
Pour in the cream, bring to a boil and simmer the fish in the cream over low heat for 10 minutes.
Then turn over and cook the fish and leeks for another 10 minutes, until the fish is ready.
