Fried Fish with Sorrel Sauce

Sorrel sauce perfectly complements the taste of fried fish.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Fish fillet – 300 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Sorrel – about 100 g
  • Cream 10% – 200 ml
  • Flour – 1 tbsp + for breading
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

Directions

  1. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  2. Wash sorrel, dry and chop finely too.
  3. In a small saucepan, fry the onion until transparent, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add sorrel.
  5. Pour in 2-3 tbsp of water and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Then pour in the cream and heat.
  7. Add flour, mix quickly and thoroughly so that there are no lumps. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
  8. Then puree the sorrel sauce for the fish with a blender.
  9. Wash fish fillets, dry, cut into portions. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Breaded fish pieces in flour, then dip in a beaten egg.
  11. Fry the fish in vegetable oil on both sides, bring until tender, covered.
  12. Serve fried fish with sorrel sauce.
