Fried Mussels

Fried mussels in the batter are an amazing appetizer.

• Large mussels (boiled frozen) – 300 g
• or Mussels in shells – 1 kg
• Flour – 3 tbsp
• White wine – 100 ml
• Eggs – 1 pcs.
• Vegetable oil – 200-250 ml
• Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
• Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
• Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon

Instructions

1. Everything you need to cook fried mussels.

   

2. Defrost and dry frozen mussels.

   

3. Put prepared mussels on a board, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon. a spoonful of flour. Turn over and sprinkle with 1 more tablespoon. a spoonful of flour.
4. This is done so that the batter sticks to the mussels.
5. Beat the egg lightly.
6. Pour in wine, add salt and pepper.
7. Add flour little by little. Knead the batter – it should be like sour cream.
8. Dip the mussels in the dough.
9. Fry mussels in vegetable (or butter) oil in a hot frying pan (or in a saucepan). To do this, heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan or cauldron with a flat bottom. Reduce heat to medium-high.
10. Put the mussels in the butter in one layer. If there are a lot of mussels, you need to fry them in portions.
11. Fry mussels for 5-7 minutes. To make the mussels evenly fried, you need to take the mussels with a fork and gently turn over.

    

12. Put the fried mussels on a napkin to remove excess oil.

Serve the fried mussels, sprinkle with lemon juice.
