Ingredients
- 500 g okra pods
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- 2 teaspoons cumin, whole
- 1 large onion (s), halved, thinly sliced
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ coriander powder
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ ground cumin
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ chilli pepper (s), dried, ground or chilli powder
- 0.25 teaspoon ¼ turmeric
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
- 0.5 ½ lime (s), the juice from it

- Wash and dry the okra pods (prevents slime). Cut into pieces 1 - 1 1/2 cm in length.
- Heat the oil and fry the cumin in it. Add the onion and stir-fry until golden (takes 4 - 5 minutes). Add the okra pieces and fry for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently. The onion should turn dark brown.
- Add the ground spices and salt and fry for another 5 minutes. Add the lime juice, stir well and fry for another minute.
