German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • Butter – 450 Grams
  • Sugar – 250 Grams
  • Brown sugar – 100 Grams
  • Dark chocolate – 150 grams
  • Flour – 2 Glasses
  • Yogurt – 1 Glass
  • Water – 0.75 Glasses
  • Eggs – 6 Pieces
  • Cocoa powder – 8 Art. spoons
  • Instant coffee – 2 Teaspoons
  • Baking powder – 2 Teaspoons
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 Teaspoon
  • Soda – 0.5 Teaspoons
  • Salt – 0.25 Teaspoons
  • Citric acid – 0.25 Teaspoons
  • Coconut flakes – To taste

Directions

  1. Combine chocolate, coffee, 2 tablespoons of cocoa and half a glass of water in a saucepan.
  2. Heat, stirring occasionally until completely dissolved. Then refrigerate to room temperature.
  3. Whisk 100 grams of butter and 100 grams of sugar, as well as brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanillin and 2 eggs.
  4. And while whisking, pour in the chocolate, and also add flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and yogurt.
  5. Pour the dough in a maiden round shape and bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.
  6. Cool the finished cakes and cut each into two parts.
  7. Boil the syrup from 100 grams of sugar and a quarter cup of water. Whisk the whites of 4 eggs, citric acid and 50 grams of sugar, beat well. Without stopping whipping, pour in the hot syrup and add 350 grams of butter in portions. Continue whisking for another 5-7 minutes, at the end add 6 tablespoons of cocoa.
  8. Grease each cake with chocolate cream, also coat the cake on all sides. Sprinkle with coconut, chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and serve.
