Grilled Corn

Sweet corn is grilled with spices and butter.

Ingredients

  • Instant sugar corn – 8 ears
  • Butter (softened) – 6 tbsp
  • Fresh parsley (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Garlic salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin – 1/2 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. Carefully bend the leaves away from the cobs, but do not tear them off. Remove corn hair.
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, chopped parsley, chili powder, garlic salt and ground cumin. Lubricate the corn cobs with this spicy mixture and wrap them in leaves again, tie with cotton thread. Place the corn in a large saucepan, cover with cold water and leave at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  3. Switch on the grill to preheat to medium temperature. Remove the corn cobs from the water and place on the grill rack, cover the grill and cook the corn for about 15-17 minutes, turning once during cooking.
