Ingredients

  • 50 g buttermilk
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk or half an egg
  • 50 g suar, brown
  • 50 g suar, white
  • some vanilla
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ salt
  • 130 g wheat flour
  • 130 g spelled flour, whole rain

Instructions

  1. First preheat the oven to 200 ° C (top / bottom heat) and cover a tray with baking paper.
  2. Now you can devote yourself to the dough: briefly whip the egg, butter, sugar, buttermilk, vanilla and salt, then mix the two types of flour and stir in. The dough is soft and must therefore be chilled (approx. 15 minutes).
  3. When the dough is cold, you can form small balls out of it and press them flat. I always make balls with a diameter of about 1 cm. The biscuits don`t melt particularly well, so you can put them relatively close to the tray. They then have to bake for about 12 minutes and turn nice and caramel brown from below.
  4. If you don`t like it that simple, you can also mix in nuts, chocolate, raisins or the like or replace part of the flour with oat flakes.
