Kiev Cutlets from Fish

There is no doubt that the recipe for this dish was invented by a man who is very fond of fish and Kyiv cutlets. It was on the fusion of such a wonderful product as fish with a wonderful recipe for Kyiv cutlets that the dish “Kyiv fish cutlet” was born.

Ingredients

  • Fish fillet – 230 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Chopped parsley – 5 tbsp
  • Cheese (optional) – 100 g
  • Eggs – 2-3 pcs.
  • Flour for breading
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions

  1. Combine 100 grams of grated cheese and 5 tablespoons of chopped parsley and mix.
  2. Lightly beat the fish fillet without skin and bones with the flat part of the hammer.
  3. Put two tablespoons of cheese with herbs and 10 grams of butter in the middle of the beaten fillet. (You can make a Kyiv-style fish cutlet with a variety of fillings to your liking.)
  4. We roll up the fish fillet with cheese filling in the form of a cutlet and chop with wooden toothpicks.
  5. Add 2-3 eggs and stir. Add salt and pepper to the flour and mix too.
  6. Let’s start frying fish cakes in Kyiv. Breaded fish cutlet in flour, then dip in an egg. Bread in breadcrumbs, dip in an egg again, and bread in breadcrumbs again.
  7. Fry the breaded fish cakes in a deep frying pan, in a large amount of vegetable oil, over medium heat, until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes on each side.
  8. We serve ready-made chicken Kyiv from fish on a common dish or in portions, with green peas, potatoes, and fresh vegetables.
