Lard in the Oven

Prepared in this way, the bacon turns out to be very soft and tasty. Cooking doesn’t take long. And the snack is excellent.

Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • Lard with a layer of meat – To taste (as much as you need)
  • Salt – To taste
  • Garlic – To taste
  • Ground black pepper – To taste

Directions

  1. A piece of bacon prepared for salting must be washed and dried. Clean the skin well.
  2. Cut the bacon into several large pieces. Cut each piece to the skin into even pieces.
  3. Rub each piece with salt and pepper. Chop the garlic through a garlic press and rub into pieces. Cut the foil into pieces. Wrap each piece of bacon separately in foil. Put the bacon in the oven. Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees.
  4. Lard is baked for 25 minutes. Then open each piece and put it in the oven for another 5-10 minutes. Now the pieces of bacon will brown. Remove the lard leaf from the oven and place the pieces on a plate to drain the fat from the lard. When the bacon has cooled down, place it in a bowl with a lid and refrigerate. When the bacon is in the refrigerator for one day, it will be saturated and tastier. The next day lard can be eaten. Remove the garlic on top with a knife before serving.
