Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 80 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon (s) - zest, grated
  • Pinch salt
  • Clarified butter for frying
  • Icing sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Put the flour in a bowl. Make a well in it and add the yeast and milk. Add the sugar and stir everything gently. Let rise for about 10 minutes. Now add the remaining ingredients and knead everything into a smooth dough. Let rest for another 10 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough 1 cm thick and cut into lozenges each 2 cm in size.
  3. Bake the lozenges in portions in hot clarified butter. Then drain on kitchen paper and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
