Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 400 g chicken breast
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • ¾ cup (s) of vegetable broth
  • ½ paprika, red
  • ½ paprika, yellow
  • ½ cup of whipped cream or Cremefine
  • 1 teaspoon chives, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 300 g penne, (uncooked)
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. This delicious recipe comes straight from the kitchen of a Canadian restaurant.
  2. Prepare the penne according to the instructions on the packet.
  3. Finely chop the onions and garlic. Dice the chicken breast. Cut the bell pepper into small pieces.
  4. Fry the onions and garlic in a large pan. To do this, cook butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes. Then add curry and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Then add the sugar and simmer until the sugar starts to caramelize. Now add the maple syrup and cook for 1 minute. Then add the cream and chicken stock and simmer until the amount has been roughly halved. Then add the peppers and put the sauce aside.
  6. Now fry the meat with the remaining olive oil (1 tablespoon) lightly brown. Season with salt and pepper. Tip the meat into the sauce and let it steep for 2 minutes. Then add the cream cheese and stir well until everything is mixed.
  7. Finally, add the penne and let everything simmer briefly.
