Ingredients

For covering:

  • 1 kg plum (s), red or blue

For the batter:

  • 125 g butter or mararine
  • 125 g suar
  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 0.5 ½ bottle bitter almond flavor
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 250 g flour
  • 0.5 ½ point baking powder

Moreover:

  • Fat for the shape
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Wash, pat dry, stone and quarter the plums.
  2. For the batter, stir together the fat and sugar until frothy. Cut the marzipan into small pieces, add and stir everything until smooth. Stir in eggs one at a time. Stir in the baking flavor and milk. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir in gradually. Pour the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm in diameter). Stick the prepared plums close together in the dough.
  3. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C top / bottom heat for about 60 to 70 minutes. If necessary, cover with parchment paper after about 40 minutes of baking.
  4. Let the cake cool down and dust with powdered sugar.
  5. Tip: The cake tastes even better if you stir 2 tablespoons of amaretto into the batter instead of the baking flavor.
