Meat Cupcakes (Muffins) with Filling

Recipe for meat cakes, or cupcakes, or muffins – call it what you want. I offer an option for a beautiful design of minced meat dishes. Meat cakes with mashed potatoes can be served as a hot dish or as a snack.

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • Minced meat (pork + beef) – 650-700 g
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Bread crumbs (or bread) – 40-50 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Champignon mushrooms)
  • Cheese
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Salt
  • Spice
  • Ground sweet paprika
  • Vegetable oil

For mashed potatoes:

  • Potatoes
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Salt

Directions

  1. Pour milk into breadcrumbs or bread, stir and leave to swell.
  2. Finely chop the mushrooms, grate the cheese.
  3. Place onion, soaked crackers, eggs in a blender, chop. Add the resulting mass to the minced meat. Season with salt, add spices and mix well.
  4. Grease muffin tins with butter. Put some minced meat in the molds. Make a depression with your fingers, forming the walls. Place the mushrooms and cheese in the minced meat. Make a minced meat cake with your hands and put on top, press down. Bake meat cakes with mushrooms and cheese in a preheated oven at 180-190 degrees for about 30 minutes
  5. Boil potatoes and puree with butter, hot milk and salt. Mashed potatoes can be prepared in advance, but you need to keep the mashed potatoes warm and not lose their plasticity.
  6. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a pastry bag and squeeze onto each meatcake like a cream.
  7. Decorate meat cakes (cupcakes) with mashed potatoes if desired. I sprinkle with ground sweet paprika.
